Did You Grow Up With A Problem Drinker?
Al-Anon is for families, relatives and friends whose lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking. Many adults question whether they have been affected by alcoholism. If someone close to you has, or has had a drinking problem, the following questions may help you in determining whether alcoholism affected your childhood or present life, and if Al-Anon is for you.

Literature Overview
There are several ways to obtain Al-Anon and/or Alateen literature. Literature can be purchased at:
- Meetings – Most Al-Anon meetings have literature available. They may sell the literature usually at the price they paid for it. For a list of meetings near you go to the Meeting Locations page.
- Literature Distribution Centers – We have four locations where literature may be purchased. Use this link to find a Literature Distribution Center near you.
- Al-Anon Family Group main office – To purchase literature from Al-Anon Family Group Headquarters, Inc., write to 1600 Corporate Landing Parkway, Virginia Beach, VA 23454-5617, click on this web site address alanon.org or call 757-563-1600.
