Area Chair Updates
June 1, 2022 – What an exciting time we are experiencing in Al-Anon.
At the June Area Assembly we will be hearing the Delegate’s report!
She will update us on the status of the Global Electronic Area and other news
from the 2022 World Service Conference!
If you are joining us on Zoom, please log on at least 15 minute before the meeting.
This will help us get everyone named appropriately, which will help us have
a smoother voting experience! Thanks for your cooperation!
We will have an update on the Kentucky Convention September 23-25th
which is right around the corner, in Bowling Green! Did you know you can register online at kyal-anon.org? Just $30 to register for the weekend, be with your friends, hear great speakers and have a little get away.
Thank you ALL for your service! It takes all of us to keep carrying this message of recovery, one day at a time, one meeting at a time.

Open Meeting for Professionals
The Al-Anon Family Groups are a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength, and hope in order to solve their common problems. We believe alcoholism is a family illness and that changed attitudes can aid recovery. Al-Anon is not allied with any sect, denomination, political entity, organization, or institution; does not engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any cause. There are no dues for membership. Al-Anon is self-supporting through its own voluntary contributions.
Al-Anon has but one purpose: to help families of alcoholics. We do this by practicing the Twelve Steps, by welcoming and giving comfort to families of alcoholics, and by giving understanding and encouragement to the alcoholic. (Reprinted with permission of Al-Anon Family Group Headquarters, Inc., Virginia Beach, VA.)
The Kentucky Area Al-Anon Family Group invites you to an open speaker meeting with the intention of expanding Al-Anon’s reach to those in need of help. Because of your profession, you could provide help and hope to many people affected by another’s alcoholism by making referrals to Al-Anon. Most Al-Anon members report they were referred to Al-Anon by a professional like you.

Hybrid Meeting Resources
During the annual World Service Conference, April 12-16, 2021, the decision was made to recognize permanent electronic meetings as Al-Anon Family Groups. As a result, the WSO does not distinguish groups as face-to face, electronically only, or hybrid. All groups are Al-Anon Family Groups.
On May 2, 2021 our Area Delegate held a question and answer session via Zoom to begin conversations with groups regarding electronic meetings, groups returning from electronic to face-to face and hybrid meetings.
